Salt Water Fishing
The beauty of the salt water fishing off of Prince of Wales island is we are never fishing far from shore and the waters are protected. We fish out of our Hewescraft 220 ocean pro which is a fish catching machine aka Namaslay. Captain Greg is a certified USCG captain and will assure you are safe and comfortable. Depending on the time of year and tides we will fish the west, east or north part of the island. We will either troll or mooch for salmon typically. Targeting Rockfish is very popular, exciting and can be fast and furious. We use light tackle and jigs for these as well as fly rods for those fly fishing fanatics. We will anchor or drift for halibut and ling cod depending on tides and conditions ands client wishes. The boat ride to the fishing areas is spectacular as we will weave through islands and see an abundance of wildlife along the way. Please note you are always welcome to “go in early” if anyone in your party desires. The goal is always to have fun. That being said we won’t take you into rough bad conditions that are uncomfortable just to catch a fish. There are always other options for fishing and fun.
Fish Processing
We will fillet, vacuum pack, freeze and box your catch to take home. There is nothing better and healthier than wild Alaska fish and this is one of the last places on the planet where there is still an abundance of wild fish. We take excellent care of your catch and it makes a difference. What a wonderful bonus at the end of an incredible adventure to be able to take home some delicious Alaskan fish to share with family and friends.
